What is GatorChat

GatorChat is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client, written for Palm-sized Pocket PCs running Windows CE. It was developed by Multigator and has been released as shareware. At the moment it has all the basic chat functionality, and other features are being worked on.

Getting started with GatorChat

GatorChat works almost like any other IRC client would. Fill in your preferred IRC server under the "Config" button, as well as your nickname, alternative nickname etc. Click on "Connect". Please be patient if you are connecting with GPRS, it might take a while before the connection is established. When the connection is established, and you are welcomed to the IRC network, you can join a channel by typing /join #<channelname> in the input field.

How to register

You will receive a registration code within 36 hours after we receive your payment.

For Dutch users, you can also transfer the payment directly to Multigator in Enschede, banknumber 3968.63.213. Make sure you put your e-mail adres in the description so we know who to contact with registration information.

Shareware information

GatorChat is shareware. This means you can evaluate it for 30 days. If you wish to continue using it after that period, you have to register your copy.

The registration amount is $15,00 or EUR 15,00, whichever you prefer. This is a one time registration, which will also work for future versions of GatorChat.

Installation instructions

Download the ZIP file from the download section to your computer, unzip it and run setup.exe. You can also copy the .CAB file to your mobile device if you prefer. On your mobile device, click on the CAB file to install it. A link to GatorChat will be added to your start menu. Basicly that is all there is to is.
